Child’s Play
Products from Scolmore Group’s Wiring Accessories range have been specified and installed at the brand new Keele University Day Nursery which has just welcomed its first children through the doors.
Set in the University’s 650-acres of landscaped gardens, the purpose-built, £2.7m facility on Keele University’s campus, offers 136 places for children aged 12 weeks to 5 years. The Nursery has eight new classrooms and offers extensive play facilities, both inside and out where the children enjoy many varied activities.
With the original request for stainless steel wiring accessories coming from the architect, samples of Scolmore’s Define Flat Plate products in a stainless steel finish were soon being viewed and quickly became included within the specification for the project. Matching switches and sockets from the range have been fitted throughout the new nursery premises, providing a clean and smooth finish in keeping with the modern styling of the new building.
The new Day Nursery was officially opened by Dr Maggie Atkinson, Children’s Commissioner for England, on 1st October.
